Douga has no accounts, no telemetry, and no analytics, and it opens no network connections. Everything you draw stays on your machine. Nothing you make, and nothing about you, is ever sent anywhere.
The optional update-check plugin, if you choose to install it, asks this website for the latest version number when you pick Help → Check for Updates. The request carries nothing about you or your machine beyond what any web request carries, and nothing is stored from it. Video import and export run through an ffmpeg you install and control yourself.
A license key has the buyer's name and email signed into it — that is what a key is. The developer receives that name and email from the store when you buy, and keeps a record of the keys issued so yours can be reissued if you lose it and so refunds can be sorted out. That information is used for nothing else, and is never shared or sold.
Payments are handled entirely by the store you buy from — itch.io, or the payment provider named at checkout — under that store's own terms and privacy policy. The developer never sees your card number or payment details, only the name, email, and order information the store passes along to issue your key.
douga.app is static pages. It sets no cookies, has no sign-in, and asks you to fill in nothing. It is hosted on Cloudflare, whose servers keep the standard short-lived request logs any host keeps. Traffic is counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and anonymous — it counts page views without identifying, fingerprinting, or following anyone.
If you write to contact@douga.app, your message is used to answer you and for nothing else. No mailing lists, no marketing.
